Nestled in the hub of lively Ubud on Jalan Sriwedari, only approximately 20 metres from Jalan Raya Ubud sits this funky Health conscious cafe we call Gluten Free Kitchen (formally known as Warung Schnitzel and House of Schnitzel). It is still renowned for the best schnitzels in town but now also for their complete healthy Gluten Free Menu. Our famous schnitzels are now Gluten free but you can also order them without the GF option...though hard to tell the difference. All the dishes are both mouth watering and delectably generous. Boasting three levels of seating, Gluten Free Kitchen is a total dining experience for breakfast, lunch and dinner plus everything in between. The menu is outstanding and varied, you can choose from so many different fusions of delicious, GF fresh foods. The cafe has been recently renovated and presents a clean fresh vibe that reflects the NEW GF menu. The ground floor has a fabulous GLUTEN FREE bakery/retail area where you can purchase all of your GF foods such as fresh bread, slices, pastries, cakes, muffins, either to go or have a chat over a coffee with your favourite GF sweet. |
We are also introducing fresh jams, some combined with the Kombucha scoby, conserves, chutney and pickles to our range that can also be purchased. Our GF products are supplied by our in-house bakery and are all prepared in a safe, uncontaminated environment. There is also a bar area to order your yummy cocktails, wines or beers and as a bonus our happy hour runs all day long.
The second floor is abuzz with the kitchen with small eating area plus a mezzanine floor overlooking the bustling street below. The top floor is just delightful for intimate or group dining. All through the cafe you will see funky, unique paintings from a local artist and all are for sale. So come and enjoy this little food haven, the Operations Manager, Mara will welcome you with her stunning smile and sunny disposition.
